Dear Patients, Family and Friends,

Emotions are high right now as our staff, doctor and patients try to navigate not only work but also new challenges in their personal lives during the COVID-19 pandemic.  This one is uniquely different because everything is happening immediately- offices are forced to close and you’re dealing with homeschooling, grocery shopping, and health concerns.

While things are certainly not “business as usual”, we wanted to let you know we are here for you in our clean, comfortable, and safe environment.  Our standards are well, “above and beyond ” what the American Dental Association and Centers for Disease Control recommend.  We love what we do and the people we help, and we are always here to help you.  Dr Weddell has been seeing many of our Patients who had urgent dental needs throughout this time.    Here is just a small list of the things we had done to ensure the safety for everyone who comes into our office.

Most importantly, we are following all guidelines outlined by the CDC and ADA as it relates to office cleanliness, equipment sterilization and staff & patient protection.   I reviewed every protocol, method and material we used to ensure that we are absolute state of the art in our sterilization, disinfection systems and office procedures.  I reviewed every solution, piece of equipment and instrument we use.

We have bought an aerosol reduction system to greatly reduce the airborne particles in our treatment rooms for our patients and our staff.

We have two autoclaves to sterilize equipment.  We have always done weekly testing by an outside lab to ensure that our sterilization system is effective.

We will be limiting the patients in our reception area and have increased the spacing for our patients.  We have cleared our reception room of shared magazines, newspapers, kids toys and beverages to reduce possible cross contamination of anything.  We ask that if anyone comes with you they wait in their car instead of the office to increase personal space.

We will be screening patients over the phone so that high-risk patients or anyone with flu-like symptoms stay home.  We will measure the temperature of all patients and staff members coming to the office.  We ask that you come to our office wearing a mask until your temperature is taken.  We ask that you call our office when you arrive in the parking lot so that we can reduce your time in the reception area.

Staff members will change into a clean lab coat/gown between all patients and we are using as many disposable items as possible.

We are using CaviCide spray and Wipes throughout our office after each patient.  It is the most powerful sanitizing agent available for eliminating germs, bacteria and viruses.  We have used CaviCide for years.  CaviCide has FDA approval and is the number one surface disinfectant in the dental industry.  It is trusted by leading infection control experts and is strong enough to kill E Coli, MRSA, Staph, Listeria, Human Coronavirus, TB, Hepatitis B Virus, Hepatitis C Virus, bacteria and fungi.

We are used to going above and beyond for our patients.  We love what we do.  It is because of this many of our patients have trusted us with their dental care for years.  We will be here to care for our patients for many more years to come.

Sincerely,

Dr Kenneth Weddell and Staff
